Have You Got the Right Mouthpiece Set-up?

Have you considered that you may not be getting the most our of your instrument? Have you outgrown your student mouthpiece? Signs to watch out for are overblowing, difficulty reaching the upper register (which can also mean you have outgrown your student instrument), and stuffiness of sound.

All of these symptoms will mean that your progress may be slower than expected, and can result in the development of bad habits such overblowing and physical tension.

Q: Question: I live in Amsterdam – can you sell me an instrument?
A: Answer: We offer shipping many countries outside Australia. You can read our Ordering and Shipping page for details about international orders.

 

Q: Question: Do you repair all types of woodwind and brass instruments?
A: Answer: Yes, for details see our repairs page.

 

Q: Question: Can you buy my old instrument?
A: Answer: Maybe. We are a licensed second hand dealer and we buy most types of brass and woodwind instruments. We also offer sale by consignment, and accept trade-ins. In all cases except trade-ins, we need to see the seller and the goods at the store with the appropriate Photo ID. See our Sell your instrument page

 

Q: Question: What are your operating hours?
A: Answer: We are open 9:30am to 5:30pm weekdays (7pm on Thursdays) and Saturday 9:00am – 3:30pm, Australian Eastern Standard (or Summer) Time. Check the about us page for details

 

Q: Question: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Answer: Yes. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Bankcard and American Express - also direct fund transfer and bank cheques by prior arrangement (or cash for personal shoppers). Goods will be dispatched once funds are cleared to our account. A 2% surcharge may apply to purchases made using an American Express card.

 

Q: Question: How can we get in contact with you about a purchase?
A: Answer: Via phone, fax, email or in person at our store. Check the contact us page for details

 

Q: Question: Do you have Tax-free prices?
A: Answer: Australian residents MUST pay GST on all purchases made. Overseas visitors (or Australians departing Australia for no less than 12 months) can claim the tax back at the port of departure within 30 days of the purchase being made. If goods are sold to overseas, a deduction of the GST payable is made on the listed (Webdeal) price.

 

Q: Question: How can I find out if an item is in stock?
A: Answer: For many of the products we have listed on the website we keep at least one unit in stock, but there are of course occasions where they sell out, so please e-mail us to check.

 

Q: Question: How are your products shipped?
A: Answer: We ship within Australaia using Australia Post Express bags for small orders, and Registered Insured Person-to-Person Mail, Couriers Please, or TNT Transport for larger orders. For overseas orders we use Australia Post EMS. For more details see the shipping page.

 

Q: Question: What are the conditions of sale, such as your return policy?

Q: Question: Do you have an online shopping cart?
