Get the right introduction to the flute with Lamorna’s Beginner Flute Book. Lamorna's Book is designed to let students develop sight-reading skills, rhythm and musical creativity by using clear logical steps to be followed at a pace that suits beginner musicians.
Featuring a clear layout with large notation, the Lamorna's Beginner Book moves at your pace by introducing the notes B, A and G before progressing intuitively to B flat major. This is so that students are able to understand the basis of good flute technique, and gain the skills to play confidently. Aural skills and theory are incorporated into the learning through games, tasks and quizzes, to try and make things fun and easy for the student. The Beginner Flute Book also includes duets to introduce the student to ensemble skills, encourage rhythmic security and good intonation. The end of each chapter has Report Cards, to encourage and mark achievements in the student's development.
