Incredibly strong and light, the instruments are further protected by being housed in routed rubber inserts with a hinged pad/lid that secures them before closing the case. The trumpet is suspended on adjustable shock-absorbing rubber blocking, with the instrument braced around the valve casings so that the bell cannot touch the padded end of the case.
